Meet our team

Founder and Principal Consultant at Upriver GIS, Clay has consulted with over 1500 small to mid-sized businesses in their quest to advance growth through new markets, customers, and strategies. Clay is a market leader in creating GIS models specifically for small businesses to use for site selection, customer targeting, drive time mapping, customer prospecting, building efficient sales territories, and tapestry segmentation.

Clay is a member of the North Florida GIS Association, Community First Credit Union Community Advisory Council, and services on the GrowFL Advisory Board. He serves as the Northeast Florida Committee Vice Chair for GrowFL and as a Peerspectives CEO Roundtable Facilitator. Clay has a Masters in Geography from University of South Florida, a Bachelor of Science in Management and Information Systems from Florida State University, and a Business Intelligence Analysis Certificate from UCSD.

Clay enjoys exploring undersea as an avid scuba diver who was recently certified as a rescue diver. He also enjoys travel and spending quality time with family and friends.

As Consultant, Kim utilizes relevant data to drive growth by analyzing client marketing strategies and adjusting tactics for higher ROI. With over 20 years marketing national brands across multiple industries, Kim couples her brand marketing expertise with hands on marketing operations to engage customers in efficient channels.

Kim earned her MBA from the University of Tampa and her Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Multinational Business from Florida State University. She has been recognized by Progressive Grocer as a Top Women in Grocery Rising Star and by the American Marketing Association for her local marketing strategies.

In her spare time, Kim enjoys cooking and was once featured by Bon Appetit for a new Smashed Potato Salad recipe she created with the help of IBM’s Watson. She also enjoys travel with her husband and family where they bounce between city, mountain and beach spots across continents.
